Terms of service
These terms explain what you can expect from Sync Scala and what we ask of you. Please read them before creating an account or using the service.
Last updated1. About these terms
Sync Scala is the name used for the service at syncscala.com. In these terms, we, us and our mean the operator providing the Sync Scala service. You means the person using it or the organisation that person is authorised to represent. Contact us at support@syncscala.com or through the contact form about these terms.
By accepting these terms when you register, you agree to use the service on this basis. You must be at least 18 and have authority to enter into this agreement. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to bind it. The service is intended for professional business use, not personal consumer profiling.
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Our Cookies policy explains browser storage. Our Guarantees page explains service commitments and their limits. Any separately agreed written service terms take priority over these terms where they expressly address the same issue.
2. What the service does
Sync Scala helps you describe an offer, prepare an ideal customer profile, organise business-contact research and work with lead lists. Some workflows use AI models or third-party data providers. Features depend on the integrations available in your workspace and may not be available in every region or for every business.
At this launch, external company search, contact discovery and email-verification workflows require provider activation. Phone-number enrichment is not currently available. A field, example, article or planned workflow is not a promise that a particular result or feature is available today. Check the workspace status before relying on a capability.
We do not promise to find every company, identify the person with final purchasing authority, produce a fixed number of results or complete a workflow within a fixed number of seconds. Provider coverage, source quality, filters and availability affect results.
3. Your account and security
Give us accurate registration information, keep your password private and use an account only with the account holder's permission. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, a compromised password or a security problem.
Do not share passwords in a support message. We may ask for proportionate evidence of account ownership before changing access or responding to a data request. We may restrict access where necessary to protect the service or other people, subject to the suspension provisions below.
4. Your inputs, files and permissions
You retain the rights you already hold in your website content, descriptions and uploaded files. You give us the permission needed to store, process, transmit and display those inputs to operate the features you request, maintain the service and respond to support requests. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Only submit content and contact records you are entitled to use and share with the relevant service providers. Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card details, special-category personal data, criminal-offence records or information about children. Do not submit confidential material to AI features unless you have assessed the applicable provider terms and have authority to do so.
Where we process personal data on your organisation's behalf and a data processing agreement is required, that agreement must be in place before you upload or instruct that processing. Contact us to arrange the necessary terms. These general terms and our Privacy policy are not a substitute for such an agreement.
5. Responsible business-contact use
Access to a contact record is not consent to contact that person. A public work address can still be personal data. You are responsible for choosing a lawful purpose and basis, giving required privacy information, checking rules for the recipient's location and communication channel, and respecting objections and suppression requests.
Rules may differ for companies, sole traders and partnerships, and for emails, texts, live calls and automated calls. You must assess the rules that apply to your campaign rather than assume that all business outreach is exempt from consent requirements. Verification does not replace these checks.
- Use contact data only for lawful, relevant professional purposes and honour opt-outs promptly.
- Do not use the service for spam, harassment, stalking, impersonation, discrimination or unlawful surveillance.
- Do not use the service to make eligibility decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance or access to essential services.
- Do not bypass access controls, rate limits, account restrictions or provider licence restrictions, or attempt to obtain data without authorisation.
- Do not upload malicious code, interfere with the service or use results to create an unlawfully obtained resale database.
6. AI outputs and verification results
AI-generated buyer profiles, summaries and suggestions are working drafts. They may omit context, make incorrect assumptions or generate inaccurate statements. Review and edit them before approving a search, spending credits or using them to make business decisions. Outputs may not be unique.
An email marked verified reflects the relevant provider's assessment at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee of future delivery, an active relationship with the recipient, consent, a reply or a sale. Catch-all, unknown and unavailable results should not be treated as verified. People change roles and contact details change.
Sync Scala does not provide legal, financial or compliance advice. Educational content and suggested workflows do not replace advice tailored to your organisation and intended use.
7. Credits, costs and payments
Credits are service-use units, not money, a bank balance or an investment. Any introductory grant is shown in your account. Do not create extra accounts to evade limits or repeatedly obtain promotional credits.
For enabled paid-provider runs, the application displays the available cost estimate or maximum before you approve the run. A hold can reduce your available balance while a run is in progress. Settlement releases the hold and records the applicable actual charge. A ledger entry called refund may therefore represent released credits rather than a repayment of money.
Provider requests can incur costs without finding a usable result. Do not assume that failed searches, empty results or a decision not to contact someone make all provider costs refundable. Review the run's cost information and receipts. If a charge appears incorrect, send the run reference to support so we can investigate.
Paid checkout and recurring subscriptions are not enabled at this launch. No subscription payment is required simply to create the current account. Before enabling purchases, we will publish the applicable prices, taxes, payment conditions, cancellation and refund terms. Any mandatory refund or consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Third-party services and data rights
Some requested features send relevant inputs to an AI model, website-reading service or business-data provider. Those services can have their own availability, restrictions and data-handling terms. We describe the relevant categories in our Privacy policy. Do not assume that every integration mentioned in an article is connected to your workspace.
We do not grant rights in third-party databases, websites, trademarks or content that we do not own. An export does not remove applicable data-protection duties or source licence restrictions. You are responsible for keeping your exported copies secure and using them only within the rights available to you.
9. Our software and website
We and our licensors retain rights in the Sync Scala software, branding, interface and original website content. Subject to these terms, you may access and use the service for its intended business purpose. This permission does not give you ownership of the platform or a right to represent yourself as Sync Scala.
You may not copy or redistribute protected platform material beyond what the law or our written permission allows. Nothing in these terms restricts rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
10. Availability, changes and support
The service may be interrupted by maintenance, faults, security work or third-party outages. Features may change as the product develops. We aim to communicate material changes through the website or product, but do not offer a contractual uptime percentage, fixed support response time or recovery-time guarantee under these terms.
Keep a copy of data you need outside the platform. Service backups support recovery but are not a replacement for your own exports or an assurance that every version of your data can be restored. Report problems using support@syncscala.com or the contact form, including the relevant run reference but not secrets or unnecessary personal data.
11. Suspension and account closure
You can stop using the service at any time. To request account closure or deletion of personal data, use the contact form or email support@syncscala.com from your account address. Logging out alone does not delete your account or workspace. Export information you need before closure.
We may restrict or suspend activity that breaches these terms, creates a security risk, infringes rights or must be stopped by law. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give an opportunity to address the issue. Immediate action may be necessary to prevent harm or comply with a legal requirement.
After closure, data handling follows our Privacy policy and any applicable processing agreement. Legal obligations, disputes or a valid suppression requirement may justify retaining limited records. Account closure does not remove responsibilities arising from earlier use.
12. Responsibility and legal rights
Use your own judgment when acting on research and AI outputs. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free data, a particular deliverability rate, meetings, revenue, rankings or any other business outcome. Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for outcomes caused by unlawful use, unreviewed outputs or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Statutory rights that cannot be waived continue to apply.
If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, it applies only to the extent permitted and the remaining provisions continue to apply where possible. No failure to enforce a provision immediately is a permanent waiver of it.
13. Questions, disputes and updates
Please contact support@syncscala.com or use the contact form if there is a problem so we can try to resolve it. This does not restrict your right to approach a regulator or a court with jurisdiction, or remove any mandatory protections under the law that applies to you.
We may update these terms and will show the latest revision date on this page. Material changes apply prospectively, with further notice or acceptance where required by law. A new version does not retrospectively remove rights you already have.
